With an impressive and changing range of permanent and temporary exhibitions, Derby Museums is home to several nationally significant collections and offers a fantastic programme of events all year round.
Visit our unique collection of Joseph Wright paintings at Derby Museum & Art Gallery or encounter objects of love, hope and fear from our co-produced World Collections gallery. Check out our temporary exhibition Quentin Blake and John Yeoman: 50 Years of Children’s Books in the summer, or drop in to Pickford’s House Museum for a taste of Georgian life.
Try out one of our many hands-on activities in the run up to the opening of the new Museum of Making at Derby Silk Mill in 2020. Fascinating items from Derby’s rich industrial history will be displayed, and we will celebrate the makers of the past and empower makers of the future.
Explore, create, and discover something new. Whatever your interest, there’s something for everyone and, best of all, it’s FREE to visit with many activities being completely FREE too.
