Please either phone or email Emma for an appointment to view her work.
Emma was born in Derbyshire and is a fine-art photographer and poet. Images are captured mostly in Derbyshire & Yorkshire, in heritage locations, parks and gardens, rural towns and villages and the Peak District.
Emma is always in search of that ‘Zen’ moment, when a close connection with nature is experienced, then distilled into an image through photographic techniques and interpretation. The play of light on foliage and flowers is a passion. Emma sometimes writes complementary haiku poems to accompany her images. The ‘chop’ or ‘seal’ in the PhotoHaiku logo reads ‘haiku’ in Japanese and acts as a kind of signature in the Zen-inspired pieces.
Emma is a member of the Royal Photographic Society. Her photograph 'Hosta with Raindrops' was shortlisted for the RPS members' competition on the theme of 'gardens' in 2018.
Since 2016, Emma has exhibited annually at the Belper Open Houses event in Derbyshire and sells her work at artisan fairs and craft markets through the year. Her range includes not only traditional prints and cards, but many more gorgeous things such as stationery and homeware, that incorporate the best of Emma's fine art photography.
