    info About

Set in the beautiful Derbyshire Peak District location of Grindleford, close to iconic landmarks of Chatsworth House and Stanage Edge, the Derwent Gallery nestles in the Derwent Valley close to the river and the woodland of Padley Gorge.

The Gallery presents original fine art paintings of the Peak District’s varied landscapes of the White and Dark Peak by regional and nationally accredited artists. There is a bold mix of contemporary and traditional styles featuring the dramatic edges and moorlands of the Dark Peak and dales and villages of the White Peak.

Original landscape paintings feature a wide range of styles and sizes in oil, acrylic and mixed media on large and small canvasses by Kristan Baggaley, Gareth Buxton, Colin Halliday, Pauline Rignall and Tim Hulley and framed work in watercolour, oil and acrylic by Richard Clare, Ken Burton, Philip Dyke and others.

A range of limited edition prints and greeting cards compliment the original work in the gallery alongside photography of the local area.

We provide a well used service of bespoke picture framing handling all sorts of works of art including specialist framing of embroideries and fabric art using conservation grade materials with a wide choice of frames.
