Gwin uses the natural, warm tones of etched copper and playful hues of vitreous enamels to create wearable artisan jewellery. Focussing on pattern and colour, her work is inspired by personal emotional memory and the associations between pattern, colour and life events and experiences.
To create her designs Gwin uses CAD, acid etching, torch and kiln fired enamel and traditional metal-working techniques.
Gwin draws on her previous experience of fine and applied art practice whilst exploring her growing understanding of enamel work in the peace and quiet of her studio, barring the odd interruption from her dog, Moo
