Inspired by the beautiful Peak District National Park Rita looks for subjects of interest in their natural habitat, especially where they are complimented by strong light and shadow.

She loves all animals and wildlife and is particularly fond of the often overlooked smaller creature be it a bird, a bumble bee or a butterfly. Flowers also feature prominently in her work, often providing a floral background for her creations.

Rita works exclusively in acrylic. Each piece is painstakingly produced by combining multiple layers with exceptionally fine brush strokes. The high level of craftsmanship involved in creating her works is reflected in the amount of time it takes to complete them. She produces her works with passion, sharing with viewers all of the “Intricacies in Nature”.
